City Council Member, Ward 1
I have been married to Melissa for the past 19 years and we have two children, Alison and Austin. Attended Anoka Technical College and have been working for the City of Minneapolis for the past 20 years. I am currently a Water Treatment Operator at the City's treatment Facility. My many community endeavors include; Board Member and Treasurer SLP Swim and Dive Booster Club, Adult Leader in local Boy Scout Troop and active in many ministry's at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Blaine. I am also an Advocate for parents raising Special Needs Children having served on committees.
We need to be fiscally intelligent when we make the decisions that will financially effect our City. We need to identify and prioritize what makes our City vibrant and make others want to make the City home. My plans to address that is to represent those that would hire me, the residents my neighbors. My plan would be to be an advocate on keeping taxes as low as we can without cutting into services residents should expect. We can’t lose sight that we serve the residents of Blaine first and it is their voice that should be the priority, the only agenda is that of the residents. Blaine First means we help our neighbors because it’s the right thing to do. Putting Blaine First requires that our elected officials and public servants set aside ideological or personal differences to attend to the service of the residents. That is why I am running for City Council! City Council elections are important. The local level is where we, as residents, can have the most impact on the day-to-day lives of ourselves and our neighbors. Voters determine how our tax dollars get spent; and voters determine what takes priority – roads, safety, and policy. I will hear your voice, I will listen with care, and I will work for you and the issues that are most important to you. We should all be part of the process that builds upon our progress to shape a positive future because it's our City!
